Flexitech

Flexipoint is a pre-mixed, pre-coloured, trowel applied, flexible pointing compound that is used to verge point the ridgecaps of cement & terracotta roof tiles.

The product is manufactured and distributed in Australia by Flexitech Pty Ltd, a fully Australian owned company.

Flexipoint is made from water based polymers and fillers and is intended to ‘feel’ like normal cement mortar. It contains no volatile additives and is therefore safe to use. It differs from traditional and inherently brittle cement mortar pointing in that it retains a significant post cure flexibility. This enables it to flex in harmony with roof movements without cracking or breaking away.

The Flexipoint concept has been embraced around Australia since its introduction in 1995 and is still considered the major flexible pointing in use today.

Selleys

Selleys Point Works is the first pointing compound to qualify as an Adhesive Mechanical Fastener for hip and ridge tiles in accordance with AS2050-2002 (amended 2005) which requires all ridge and hip tiles to be fastened. 

Point Works passed the fatigue loading for both Cyclonic Conditions C3 and C4 after conditioning by prolonged water saturation as per Australian Standard AS 4046.8 – 2006.

Once cured, Point Works forms an incredibly strong and durable bond between the tiles and the ridge. The smooth non-slumping consistency makes it easy to mix and apply.

The SolaBrite range from CSR Bradford are high quality skylights designed for the Australian climate and available to suit all standard roof surfaces – concrete and terracotta tiles, as well as steel.

The standard SolaBrite skylight is available in 300mm and 400mm diameter options. It allows natural light to enter through a roof mounted, high impact acrylic dome. Flexible foil tubing, in conjunction with upper and lower reflector rings carries the light to a prismatic diffuser, and natural light appears from the ceiling diffuser giving a similar effect to that of a powered light.
